lol I believe that myth is true when I reel in my hook with my bait gone and no fish on the hook. (yes I'm using the invisible fish myth to excuse poor fishing skills)

My grandfather knew (umm... more like "created") a myth for every single fishing spot he took us to. I think he varied the theme based on our behavior. If we were being too rowdy, the myth would be a scary one. If we were down & long-faced, the myth would be inspirational.

That's what I thought too but Google for Wisconsin invisible fish and there are a whole lot of entries describing them. I don't believe the stories, but if they were true it would make you wonder what else is invisible down there

Invisible fish are obviously just fish too small to be visible to the naked eye. Like Guppies and such.
