I love my silence when fishing. I have an iPod and music on my phone, but I do not go for music when I'm fishing at all. Fishing has become close to sacred to me because it allows me to be in a longed for, different environment that escapes the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. No car horns, screaming babies and shouting people. Between bites at the hook I get time to think and reflect and I need these occasions for my personal growth and understanding of who I am. I also get a chance to have meaningful conversations that city life does not permit because of all the distractions. No music when I fish.
