Strangest catch

What is the strangest thing you've ever caught? For me, it was an old license plate. I didn't think that would even be possible! It put up a good fight too!

A Funny statement, this is! This old plate 'put up a good fight'... I believe you still keep the plate and not got and threw it away just like that?

And where is the 'catch' take place? At a shore of a stream or at the beach...Kind of interesting that soapstone is very valuable in making sculpture, and you might have just caught someone hidden treasure...

A shoe. Seriously. It was a shoe. Not sure what color it was before, but it was dirty brownish green by the time we caught it. It was disgusting, and had likely been there for years.

It was on a boat in the backwaters of Trivandrum. Also, one of the most beautiful place in India. The plastic was cheap but sturdy, yet it did not look valuable. Anyhow, we tossed it back in right away.

Ok, what I'm about to say is true. I know it's going to sound unreal, but it's true. Fishing with my father when I was 16 (at least I think I was sixteen at the time), We were fishing and I fished up a medium sized chest with porn in it.

It appears some people go through a lot of pain to hide the things they cherish or simply do the same to get rid of their old habits

Hahahaha! That is hilarious! Someone really needed to get rid of their porn stash. Or hide it for future use. I bet the guys' wife wouldn't find it down there.

I fished up a mannikin's head once - which was fine. It was the eels that craweled I could have done without. I mean that was some seriously Silent Hill sort of stuff.

LOL! This is funny! Mine was a tire interior and man that was heavy. I remember myself getting too excited when I felt that my rod is getting pulled. Only to find out that what I caught was a piece of rubber. Never beats you catch though NickJ! Epic!

Unfortunately I've had many experiences like that, tosay. There is a lot of crap on the ocean. I once was fishing on a reef and the line got hooked on something that was down there. I thought it must have been a massive fish because it wouldn't move at all. I kept tugging and trying to reel, but it just wouldn't move. After a while, I conceded that it was indeed trapped in something on the bottom and we had to cut the line.

My strangest catch would have to be a a pair of jeans! I knew it wasn't a fish before I even got it out of the water - something about the way it felt, but I figured it was seaweed. The jeans were in fairly good shape, and I keep wondering who in the heck lost their pants out here?
